WEST INDIAN-AMERICAN DAY PARADE

Hey Board Members: send in your pics and stories--- here are ours:  We went to the Labour Day parade down Eastern Parkway this year at noon.   It started pouring soon after, and well, it was about "Survival of the Fittest", and I guess we lost.  So, here are some of the flicks that we managed to scrape up in the short time we were on the Parkway...

MC Jabba on Hot 97's Float

HOT 97 represented to the fullest this year bringing out Wayne Wonder, Mr. Easy, Red Foxx, Bounty Killer, and Spragga Benz (who unfortunately we did not get to see).
Last year Bobby and Jabba did not get sponsership from the station for the float, so it is a good thing to see the station investing in a community which supports the station wholeheartedly. Wayne Wonder and Bounty Killer(l-r) Peter Naar, Wayne Wonder, ?, and Bounty Killer on Hot's float
VP Float
Beenie Man (Way right) and Degree (Way left) on the VP float .   Later on seeing Degree and Beenie do Granny together was well worth getting my white sneakers trampled on in the massive crowd trying to sneak-a-peak.

The VP Float followed behind shortly and featured Monster Shack, Anthony B., Sean Paul, Beenie and Degree.  Seeing such top, diverse artists work in combination as they mashed down Flatbush was quite an incredible experience.

OUCH! CREW TO BE IN WYCLEFF VIDEO
Say Ouch! The Ouch!Crew turned all kinds of heads on the set of the video shoot for "Here We Go", the first track off the next Funkmaster Flex album.

The song, produced by Wycleff features singers Khadejia, Product, and the rapping refugee himself.  The video's director was  Nick Quested.   The setting is not a hardcore dancehall session, but more like a downtown NYC club .  Wycleff plays the aged bartender.   The dancehall vibe,  of course, provided by the Ouch crew. By the end of the night they had the whole set screaming "Ouch!" as it was all about "Wine Nicky Wine" to a crew of people who had never seen anything like them before.
Bruk-Up passed through the set as well to show support. Yes, he is back in the states, and is dropping an album shortly on Tommy Hilfiger's label as a rapper
.
